PRESCHOOL BRIDGE, 26X11 LIVE-ACTION PUPPET SERIES EARLY DEVELOPMENT

Home Sweet Hive is the next generation of a project that Simple Mischief Studio & Renata Townsend developed for Hellosaurus. It centers on a Billie, the superintendent of a bee apartment building. In each episode, Billie helps one of her neighbors with something that needs fixing. 

This live-action puppet show focuses on the community connections that 3-5 year-olds are developing in their own homes and neighborhoods. 

It features a reuse, reduce, recycle mission with civic engagement and community building themes.

Co-Creator Spencer Lott is a maker, writer and puppeteer. In addition to playing Samuel on Sesame Street, his puppetry credits include SNL, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (starring Tom Hanks), Hello Tomorrow! (Apple +), Helpsters (Apple+), Disney’s The Muppets and more. Spencer co-wrote and directed the short puppet film Melvin the Birder, which was included in Heather Henson’s Handmade Puppet Dreams film series and received the 2014 PDN Photo Annual Award. He's a co-founder at Simple Mischief Studio, working on projects for HBOMAX, Paramount, and Nickelodeon. www.simplemischiefstudio.com
